There is a 1 hour minimum charge for all removals and deliveries (excluding pre-quoted fixed prices).
After which, we charge every 30 minutes. We also charge for journey time to/from properties if outside the local area.
We charge £10 if we have to enter the London congestion zone to reach any given destination provided by our customer. Any tolls will also be added to the bill.
It is the customer’s responsibility to pack items securely in strong boxes with the tops and bottoms taped and delicate items bubble wrapped, packed and labelled as fragile. We can assemble/disassemble items but cannot be held responsible for these items.
We are extremely careful when handling, loading, moving and unloading our customers goods but we accept no responsibility for loss or damage to property, fixtures and fittings after a move. It is our customers responsibility to pack items securely in strong boxes with the tops & bottoms taped (not just folded over at the bottom). Please ensure any items that need to be dis-assembled are ready on the day. We can assemble/dis-assemble but cannot be held responsible for these items.
Although we carry removal blankets please ensure all glass items (mirrors, table tops etc) are securely wrapped in bubble wrap and pictures wrapped securely around the whole frame (to give frame strength) firstly with paper (to stop paints sweating) and with bubble wrap on the front and back to cushion the glass. We cannot be held responsible for unwrapped glassware, mirrors or pictures.
It is our driver’s responsibility to make sure the van is not overloaded and therefore unsafe/ilegal to drive if there is a possibility of this the please book two vans (any fines for overloading will be passed onto you the customer).
If you have booked just one man and he deems an object too heavy or dangerous to lift alone or with unprofessional (uninsured) help the item will be left.
We carry goods in transit insurance, but require a detailed list of any valuable items needing to be covered before the move date, with the value of items to be backed up by a receipt. If you have home contents insurance this should cover you for house moves.
Although we can disconnect washing machines (not hard wired) we accept no liability for water damage caused by leaking connections, taps etc.
If we cause loss or damage to premises or property other than goods for removal as a result of our negligence or breach of contract, our liability shall be limited to making good the damaged area only.
If we cause damage as a result of moving goods under your express instruction, against our advice, and where to move the goods in the manner instructed is likely to cause damage, we shall not be liable.
We only accept payment in cash or by debit/credit card (3% charge). Payment must be given to our driver after the move is completed, unless invoicing has been previously arranged. If a booking is cancelled less than 36 hours prior to start time, we reserve the right to charge the 2 hour minimum rate quoted, unless extenuating circumstances are discussed with the company.
We cannot carry prohibited or stolen goods, drugs, potentially dangerous, damaging or explosive items, including gas BBQ bottles, aerosols, paints, firearms and ammunition.
It is our customers responsibility to book an appropriate parking spot to load and unload goods. Otherwise the closest legal parking may be used.
We are always punctual and reliable but we cannot always guarantee that we’ll arrive at a given destination on time due to on/off road circumstances out of our control. In these rare occurrences we will endeavor to provide an accurate ETA to keep you informed.
We will not tolerate and will prosecute customers who abuse or physically harm our staff.
